Why an Unmanned Used Battery Collection Machine Is Needed

Every year, the amount of used batteries generated from households and businesses continues to increase.
However, due to the lack of collection points and the inconvenience of separate disposal,
many batteries are still thrown away together with general waste.

These discarded batteries are not just ordinary trash –
they have become a major cause of environmental pollution and safety hazards.

Environmental pollution:
Heavy metals inside batteries (such as mercury and lead) contaminate soil and water.

Fire risk:
When batteries are incorrectly disposed of as general waste, they can cause fires at incineration plants.

Resource waste:
Batteries contain recyclable metals such as nickel, zinc, and iron.

In short, used batteries may look small, but they carry big risks—and at the same time, they are a valuable resource.

What is an Unmanned Used Battery Reverse Vending Machine?

It is an unmanned collection device designed to allow users to easily dispose of used batteries.
When a user inserts batteries, the internal recognition unit detects them, automatically sorts and stores them, and calculates the collected amount to provide rewards.

Through its communication module, data is sent to the payment gateway (PG) company and the central management system, enabling automatic reward payments.
Administrators can use the statistical data to establish, develop, and manage more effective policies.

[A Safe and Efficient Collection System Enabled by Unmanned Collectors]

Once an unmanned collection machine is installed, anyone can safely dispose of used batteries at any time.

Available 24 hours a day, the unmanned collector simplifies complicated separation and disposal procedures, and enables efficient collection and transportation based on data.

By combining resource recovery with instant rewards, it encourages voluntary participation and supports the implementation of sustainable environmental policies and equipment.

Key Differentiators

01  Vision technology
       Simultaneous recognition
         of 1 to 10 batteries
  • Advanced shape-recognition technology enables one-stop identification of up to 10 batteries.

  • Vision camera specialized in detecting and analyzing alkaline batteries only

    • Collects the four most commonly used battery types—which have lower explosion risk and are convenient for sorting, loading, and recycling—and provides rewards for their return.
02  In-house production for highly cost-effective equipment
  • Offers the most competitive pricing among domestic unmanned waste battery collection equipment providers

    • In-house design and production enable equipment prices that are over 60% lower than those of other companies.
03  Remote Control & Notification Service
  • Administrator SMS notification service (real-time alerts for faults, full-bin status, etc.)
     Real-time after-sales support (A/S) via remote control
04 Compact Size

Designed with all essential functions in a highly optimal size (600 × 600 × 1600).
Although it is only about adult shoulder height, it is an efficient device that incorporates all core functions.
Its slim design maximizes space efficiency, making it easy to install even in limited spaces.
With a compact yet powerful all-in-one structure, it provides full functionality with just a power connection, without any additional installation or accessories.

The Value of Alkaline Battery Reuse and Resource Circulation

01 Collection and Sorting of Used BatteriesUsed batteries collected through the unmanned collection machine are sorted by type.
Alkaline batteries mainly contain zinc (Zn) and manganese (Mn) as their primary components, making them highly efficient for metal recovery.

02 Crushing and Separation of Metals and Non-metals

The sorted alkaline batteries are finely crushed using a shredder and then separated using magnetic force, electric current, and other physical methods.

  • Metals: iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), etc.

  • Non-metals: plastics, paper, insulators, etc.

03 Utilization as Resources

The separated metals are recovered as high-purity metal materials through chemical leaching and precipitation processes, and then recycled in various industrial fields.

  • Zinc: used for galvanizing steel and as a material for new batteries

  • Manganese: used in fertilizers, ceramics, and battery-grade manganese oxide

  • Iron: used in steelmaking and construction materials

  • Copper, etc.: reused as non-ferrous metal resources

For example, processing 10,000 tons of alkaline batteries can recover approximately 3,000 tons of manganese and 1,500 tons of zinc.
